A hair salon located in Baltimore Maryland: NV Salon Collective is a collaboration of like-minded professionals offering salon services in a friendly and relaxing environment. Created by Nikki Verdecchia in August 2009, NV Salon Collective is an opportunity to put to practice the experience she has accumulated over her 17 year career as a stylist.

The logo and branding design for this project was inspired by the feel of the space and the personality of its creator. It is a tribute to clean design, and a bona fide classic a logo.

I’ve launched a new project. Its mission is to take great pictures of dogs (and cats too…shhh) and to raise money for local animal rescues in Baltimore. My hound-dog Bailey and I share a vision of no more homeless, OR abused pets. Cruel things happen in this town and in this world. Though some of those things are really tough to look at, if it weren’t for the brave heroes who are willing to look, and to help, nothing would ever change. Check out the site and send your friends. Recently I worked with the new and outstanding LNK Pilates in Cockeysville, Maryland to design a logo, ads and a website for their new Pilates studio!

Nikki has been working with Pilates instructor Brenda Liscinsky over the past year, and is very happy with her improved strength and flexibility as the result of Brenda’s instruction, so when Brenda and her studio-partner Stephanie asked me to work with them on this project I was happy and excited to be involved!

We are plugging along in plans, and coming up with some awesome new ideas for this year;s festival. Look for the World’s Largest Crabcake, a Cleaner Greener Festival and an Art Competition in the theme: What is a Hon?

My friend Heidi at Colonial Companies needed a new logo for one of their properties. It is a property that Colonial recently purchased, and Heidi felt like it was in need of a fresh, new image that was more representational of the neighborhood and its local culture.

Greater River Valley Townhomes is located in Montoursville, Pennsylvania, and is bordered by the West Branch Susquehanna River. It was named in memory of Elizabeth Catherine Montour, a Native American leader residing in the town that used to be called Otstonwakin.Montoursville is also recognize in reference to the TWA Flight 800 that exploded in 1996, while carrying on board 16 students from Montoursville High School.

In response to Heidi’s request, I came up with 3 logo versions that brought together the symbolism, color and emotion that I felt captured the history and legacy of Montoursville. She and her colleagues at Colonial Companies chose the following logo as the centerpiece for the future branding of the community. More marketing collateral is to come, but for now:
